On Tuesday, Procter & Gamble (P&G) announced that it recycles, repurposes or converts 100 percent of the waste at 45 manufacturing sites around the world and claims less than one percent of raw materials currently leave its plants as waste. From turning bath tissue into roof tiles and using diaper scraps as upholstery filler, the company is trying to achieve zero waste to landfill at all of its sites across the globe by 2020.

They currently have an opening for a Division Environmental Manager position in Oshkosh. This position will provide environmental support to selected Bemis Company, Inc business units and/or corporate office locations. This includes compliance support and assistance for relevant regulations and guidelines covered under EPA, NRC, ATF, and other government regulations as well as best management practices to attain Bemis environmental sustainability goals. Some job duties include securing and maintaining knowledge of environmental and regulatory rules and practices in assigned responsibilities, monitoring proposed laws, regulations, standards and regulatory guidance and assesses applicability to Bemis facilities. Education & Experience Required: a BS degree in engineering or the sciences preferred with 5+ years of experience, previous environmental job experience in flexible packaging, printing, or environmental regulatory agencies is desirable. Strong chemistry background a plus.

Director of Environmental, Health & Safety, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Salem, NC
Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is looking for an EHS Director. The ideal candidate will provide strategic direction and leadership for the Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) functions, including supervision and coordination of Emergency Management and Response, Fire and Life Safety, Safety and Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Protection and Chemical Safety, Radiation and Laser Safety, and EH&S educational programs. S/he will also plan, direct and organize activities related to the environmental safety of patients, employees, faculty, students, visitors, buildings, equipment, and grounds for the Medical Center. Bachelors degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or Healthcare Administration is required, a Masters degree is preferred. Ten years of experience in safety management; prefer five years in healthcare and/or research and three years experience in a supervisory capacity, previous experience with compliance standards and documentation procedures of state and government regulatory agencies, hospitals, clinics, research labs, fire prevention and general safety is preferred. Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator, Certified Safety Professional, or Certified Industrial Hygienist preferred. This position is on call 24 hours per day and must be able to respond to all emergency situations.

Health, Safety & Environmental Manager, Pepsico Corp., Atlanta, GA
This site-based position will lead the implementation of a prevention-focused health, safety and environmental program. The position will establish, execute, and deliver facility-specific HSE plans that support PBC's overall HSE objectives. The ideal candidate is a safety and environmental subject matter expert that can clearly articulate, develop and implement HSE action plans. Some major tasks, key responsibilities include implementing, executing, and ensuring compliance with the Pepsi Beverages Company's Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures, leading execution of the site's annual HSE Plan, including development of expense and capital budgets needed to support these efforts, and build capability of site resources to support implementation of HSE programming. A bachelor's degree and five or more years of work experience in the Health, Safety and Environmental discipline is required. Safety management experience in a related industry, including consumer packaged goods, food and beverage manufacturing or other similar manufacturing processes and safety degree and/or related certification is preferred.

Regional EHS Manager, Berry Plastics Corp., Sarasota, FL
The Regional EHS Manager will be responsible for assisting in the development, deployment and continuous improvement of environmental, health and safety management systems across Berry Plastics Rigid Closed Top Division as directed by the RCTD Corporate Divisional EHS Manager. This position will help to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements and initiatives. Some responsibilities include driving awareness and accountability for environmental, health and safety performance through all levels of the organization and providing support for local EHS Managers to assure compliance with internal and external requirements. The Regional EHS Manager will also serve as the primary EHS resource for local EHS Managers. The Regional EHS Manager must not assume the internal lead role for local facilities. Required is a Four (4) year degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene and/or Safety Engineering, Preferred Five to Ten (5 - 10) years of direct Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and/or Safety experience in a manufacturing environment, Applied knowledge and working understanding of federal/country safety requirements (i.e.; OSHA), regulatory compliance, experience with inspections, incident investigations, process safety, contractor safety, EHS training, hazard reviews and job safety analysis.
