Adidas Will Only Use Recycled Plastic By 2024
Adidas' pledge to eliminate the use of "virgin" plastic includes polyester, which is used in everything from t-shirts to sports bras because it dries quickly and weighs little. The company also said it would stop using virgin plastic in its offices, retail outlets, warehouses and distribution centers, a move that would save an estimated 40 tons of plastic per year, starting in 2018. Davis Wire Corp. is the largest wire manufacturer in the western United States with an impressive range of products are used in a wide variety of fields, including agriculture, construction, transportation, communications and industrial applications. They are looking for an Environment, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Senior Manager that will be responsible for implementation of the Heico EHS&S Management System at two production sites within the Heico Metal Processing Group. The position will be based in one of two locations; 5555 Irwindale Avenue, Irwindale, CA OR 19411 80th Avenue South Kent, WA, but will be required to work at the none-base location approximately 50% of the time. The successful manager will support operations and implement the EHS&S system both directly, through the management of site-level EHS specialists and leverage of business level or corporate level functional resources. This position must be an effective liaison and influencer with senior site and business leadership, corporate EHS&S and site level customers. This position will have duel reporting responsibilities directly and functionally to the US Wire EHS&S Director and administratively to an operations leader at the base site. In addition to formal reporting lines, this position will maintain a strong customer relationship with Irwindale and Kent US Wire leadership and workforce. A minimum 8 years industrial environmental, health and safety experience, including a minimum of 3 years at the senior role, in a heavy manufacturing environment is required along with a Bachelor’s degree in health and safety or environmental disciplines. Advanced functional certification (e.g. CSP) enhanced by significant practical experience will be considered alternative to bachelor level academic qualifications.

They are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to provide leadership and presence at our corrugated products facility in Augusta. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the EH&S Manager provides leadership and strategic direction by building a partnership with front-line leadership and collaborating with business partners to develop and mentor the production team relating to EH&S. In this role, EH&S Managers ensure systems to effectively address facility EH&S risk profiles. The role balances Safety and Environmental with a 70% focus on safety and a 30% focus on environmental aspects and accountability. A bachelor’s degree or higher in Safety, Environmental, EH&S related field, and/or five (5) or more years’ equivalent EH&S experience is required along with three (3) or more years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. CSP/PE preferred.
