S/he is responsible for achieving account retention goals and personal labor utilization objectives. Four year college degree from an accredited institution, preferably in science or engineering related field is required along with a minimum of seven years of Environmental, Health, and Safety consulting in the areas of Building Sciences (asbestos, lead, mold), Industrial Hygiene, Transactional Due Diligence, Indoor Air Quality, general H&S, and Environmental permitting, sampling and remediation support and three years of strategic Environmental, Health, and Safety consulting sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment. EHS Manager

Thermo Fisher Scientific is an American biotechnology product development company located in Waltham, Massachusetts, and was created in 2006 by the merger of Thermo Electron and Fisher Scientific. They are looking for an EHS Manager to run the environmental, health, safety and sustainability program at the Grand Island, NY site. The Grand Island site is an FDA regulated site primarily involved in the manufacture of cell culture media with supporting distribution, R&D, Customer Care and Quality Control departments. This position supports the global EHS strategy through a program that seeks to: Proactively manage EHS & Sustainability in order to comply with all applicable regulations and standards to achieve a safe work environment and minimize the impact to the environment. A Bachelors degree in safety, environmental management, and/or sustainability engineering discipline is required along with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in an environmental, health, and safety, related discipline and technical/practical knowledge of EHS regulations, codes, and guidelines. MA a plus, CSP/CIH/CHMM preferred. Some travel.
