Gary Whicker is the Senior Vice President of Engineering and Enterprise Services at J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc., where he oversees the team's three major focus areas: process improvement, management science and sales engineering. He also leads the corporate information technology functions for project management, enterprise architecture, data modeling, business intelligence and quality assurance.

Over the last five years Mr. Whicker has helped lead and define J.B. Hunt's sustainability efforts which include creating a sustainability vision, developing carbon emissions calculators, designing energy efficient transportation solution designs, and establishing a carbon offset trading initiative. Under his guidance, J.B. Hunt has been an active member of the EPA's SmartWay® Transport Partnership program which recognized him as a 2011 SmartWay Champion.

A graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mr. Whicker also holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management. Mr. Whicker has worked a majority of his career in the information technology and the transportation and logistics fields with companies like Andersen Windows, Target Stores and Northwest Airlines prior to joining J.B. Hunt Transport nearly twenty years ago.
