Lisa Roberts, Sustainability Project Manager; Publix Super Markets Inc.

Lisa Roberts is the Sustainability Manager for Publix Super Markets Inc., the largest employee-owned retail grocery chain in the United States. Ms. Roberts has more than 20 years experience with the company, where she spent the majority of her career implementing and managing the company’s environmental compliance programs for the retail, distribution and manufacturing divisions.

Since 2007 Ms. Roberts has championed Publix’s sustainability program by supporting internal sustainability advocates from across all areas of the company, managing the annual greenhouse inventory and engaging customers through the sustainability microsite, annual report and social media outlets. Her most recent focus is on supply chain. For this initiative she has created a sustainability training program for the purchasing departments and surveyed suppliers to encourage engagement.

Ms. Roberts graduated from Florida Southern College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, and worked for the Ft. Myers NBC affiliate for two years before joining Publix.
