Rick Taylor, Corporate Vice President of Environmental, Health, Safety and Energy; Parker Hannifin Corp.
Rick Taylor has been with Parker Hannifin Corp. a Fortune 500 Company based in Cleveland, Ohio, for 23 years. He started his career with the company as an Environmental Engineer and has progressed through various assignments within the group to the present position as their Corporate VP of Environmental, Health, Safety and Energy.
He is responsible for program oversight at more than 300 manufacturing facilities worldwide. He has spearheaded the company's sustainability program which includes product stewardship initiatives, social responsibility efforts, accident prevention and an energy/greenhouse gas reduction program. Additionally, Mr. Taylor manages the compliance assurance program and the environmental liabilities portfolio. His group also manages global procurement of energy and new construction. Prior to joining Parker, he worked for BP America as a Research and Development engineer in the field of industrial pollution treatment systems.
Mr. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Akron, and an MBA from Baldwin Wallace College.
He is presently on the Steering Committee of the Corporate Sustainability Network, the Sustainability Advisory Board for the Cleveland State University Center for Sustainable Business Practices, is a member of the Manufacturers Alliance Sustainability Division, and is a Board of Reagents member for the National Association for Environmental Management.
