Gretchen Digby, CSM, Director, Global Education Initiatives; Center for Energy Efficiency & Sustainability, Ingersol-Rand Inc.
Gretchen Digby is the Director of Global Education & Engagement for the Center for Energy Efficiency & Sustainability at Ingersoll Rand. In this role, Digby has established world-class internal and external energy efficiency and sustainability training curriculum for the company's 47,000 employees and led global employee engagement activities to further integrate sustainability into the company culture. She also oversees the company's volunteer employee global Green Teams, an initiative that has aided reductions in the company's overall environmental footprint, improved overall employee engagement scores, and increased recognition in communities where they operate.
Ms. Digby joined Ingersoll Rand in 2001 as manager of safety and health engineering for the enterprise. She has managed the global EHS compliance audit program for more than 300 facilities. Prior to joining Ingersoll Rand, Ms. Digby worked for Capsule Environmental Engineering, where she developed Ingersoll Rand's corporate safety audit program. She began her career in manufacturing with Milliken & Company as Engineering Services Manager. Ms. Digby has been an active member of NAEM. She spoke at NAEM's 2012 EHS Management Forum and is currently a member of the 2013 EHS Management Forum Committee.
She holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University.
