Opening Keynote - Systems and Leadership Design: Lessons From Nature Kentucky Ballroom
Join us for an inspiring and intriguing discussion that will reveal some of the latest innovations and opportunities that Biomimicry is unlocking in industrial and product design. Janine will also bring Biomimicry to life as she takes the audience through an insightful look at leadership and organizational design principles in nature and applies these lessons to the design of successful EHS&S organizations and principles of strong EHS&S leaders. You’ll come away from her talk with a new sense of wonder for the natural world and an appreciation for the genius design behind complex natural systems, as well as a direct sense of how these design principles can be applied to your workplace. |

More than ever, EHS and sustainability leaders rely on their interpersonal skills to achieve their work objectives. Yet no matter how skilled we might be, there are always situations and people that can set us off and undermine our effectiveness. Identifying and defusing our emotional triggers is the foundation for skillful communication in crucial moments of confrontation, persuasion, influence, and accountability. Through this engaging and interactive keynote, attendees will learn about the links between the conscious personality, the psychological shadow, and the dysfunctions that undermine us.
