John Hoekstra, Vice President, Global Sustainability & Cleantech Operations; Schneider Electric SE
As Vice President of Sustainability & Cleantech Services at Schneider Electric, John Hoekstra leads companies through the processes of strategic planning, greenhouse gas emissions reporting, renewable energy strategy development and procurement, other sustainability related services. Hoekstra has been with Schneider Electric since 2005, during which time he has worked with clients around the world, helping procure over a Gigawatt of renewable energy.
While John Hoekstra has direct responsibilities for the Americas, he has also helped build global renewable energy teams in support of multi-national customer goals, positioning Schneider Electric as a global leader in renewable energy consulting services. John drives support for customer goals in the prioritization, analysis, and execution of both offsite and onsite project opportunities, and is currently supporting almost a Gigawatt of client renewable demand.
Before joining Schneider Electric, Hoekstra was an environmental engineering consultant serving a variety of Fortune 500 companies including those in the chemical, automotive, packaging, and food and beverage industries. In addition to consulting, he has experience in the environmental affairs and corporate governance departments at Dell Computer Corporation and Brown-Forman Corporation.
Hoekstra earned a B.S. Chemical Engineering from the University of Louisville and is a registered Professional Engineer.
