Melissa Olberding, Senior Manager, Environmental Services; Macy's Inc.
Melissa is the Senior Manager of Environmental Services at Macy's Inc. In this role, she supports and drives environmental compliance in over 850 locations, including stores, offices and distribution centers. Her responsibilities include management of the asbestos maintenance plans, policy and program development for hazardous materials shipping, hazardous waste disposal, petroleum tank management, subsurface contamination remediation and due diligence projects. She is also Co-Chair of the Cincinnati Corporate Office's Go-Green Employee Resource Group, a group dedicated to the education and implementation of sustainability practices at an individual and corporate level.
Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Xavier University in Biology, and a Master of Science degree from the University of Cincinnati in Environmental Science. She is also a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), and a member of the Alliance of Hazardous Materials.
