Rich Goode, Managing Director; EY
Rich is a Managing Director in Ernst & Young LLP's United States Climate Change and Sustainability Services practice with experience in developing sustainability, and environmental, social and governance (ESG) programs at large organizations as well as expertise in carbon accounting, supply chain sustainability and strategy development. Rich has over 25 years of experience working in many industries, including high technology, pharmaceuticals and heavy manufacturing. Prior to EY, Rich was the Global Head of Sustainability at Alcatel-Lucent, a Paris-based supplier of telecommunications equipment.
Rich has worked with numerous Fortune 500 organizations, providing assistance on their sustainability and EHS program development, governance and controls. In addition, Rich has worked with companies in the heavy manufacturing, agricultural, automotive, medical device, government and service industries to assess the effectiveness of their sustainability, GHG and EHS programs and develop roadmaps designed to meet stakeholder expectations, reduce risk and operate more cost-effectively.
Rich teaches a course on on greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting and climate risk reduction strategies at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
