Tom Martin, CIH, CSP, Senior Managing Consultant; Ramboll

Tom Martin has over 30 years of experience in occupational safety and industrial hygiene consulting. He has created and implemented solutions in areas such as machine safeguarding, process safety, incident investigation, risk management, health and safety training, auditing, construction safety, expert witness and acquisition due diligence. Tom has specialized skills in human error risk assessment and management, energy control procedure development (lockout/tagout), utility safety processes and combustible dusts. He has provided client support in various industries with OSHA citations and citation abatement. He has also provided clients with timely assistance and guidance following serious injury/fatality events and their aftermaths. Tom has broad experience advising and assisting with health and safety compliance programs (federal, state and provincial) and providing strategic support to litigation teams. He serves on the industry advisory board for the Occupational Safety and Health Program at Oakland University, and served as chair of the American Industrial Hygiene Association’s consultant’s special interest group (ConsultSIG).
